While Micromax launched its first Yu brand smartphone Yurekain December last year, Lenovo has launched A6000 a few weeks ago in January. Both devices are priced closely as Yureka costs Rs. 8,999 while A6000 has been priced a bit more aggressively at Rs. 6,999. If you’re wondering which one will best suit your needs and is a better option out of both these beasts, you’ve come to the right place because we’re going to compare both devices right here.

Micromax Yu vs Lenovo A6000

There is this must read article for you which talks about flip covers and cases for Lenovo A6000. It might come handy once you’ve made your final decision.

Big Comparison – Micromax Yu vs Lenovo A6000

Hardware

While Yureka is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset, Lenovo A6000 is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset. The former has Adreno 405 GPU while later has Adreno 306. RAM of Yureka is 2GB while A6000 has 1GB only. So in terms of hardware Yureka is certainly ahead of Lenovo A6000.

Software

Software of Yureka always makes it stand out from other devices -it’s Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android 4.4 KitKat, which is a highly customizable version of Android. Lenovo A6000, on the other hand, is also running Android 4.4 KitKat, but with company’s Vibe 2.0 UI, which may not be as customizable as Cyanogen OS 11.

Display

There’s not too much difference in displays of both devices. Both are HD displays with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The only difference is that Yureka’s display is a mere 0.5-inch larger than that of A6000 at 5.5-inches, which translates to 267ppi. A6000, on the other hand, has 5-inches large display, which translates to slightly higher 294ppi.

Camera

Yureka has 13mp primary shooter and 5mp front-facing shooter. A6000 has 8mp primary shooter and 2mp front-facing shooter. So once again, Yureka turns out to be ahead of A6000.

Storage

There’s 16GB of internal storage in Yu Yureka while A6000 has 8GB of that. Expandable storage of both devices is up to 32GB.

Conclusion

What I would like to say is that both devices justify the price that you pay for them, so there’s no clear winner here. Of course, Yureka has got better specs in many departments, but it has also been priced 2000 bucks higher than its newer rival. You can choose either of these devices depending on your budget.
